Can a domesticated pet be taught martial arts to enter competitions with humans?
What if a martial arts master pet dog or cat or tiger, which would follow its master around while its master trained?
Everyone sees the police dogs being trained to take down criminals, but what if such an animal was trained to fight, and hold its own against a martial artist? A special training program would be needed to teach an animal this, am I'm interested in discovering the techniques a master would use to accomplish this end...
An enlightened chinese kung fu master once had a pet that would sit there with him for hours on end in a deep state of meditation. He constantly said that his pet would observe him, and eventually learnt how to reach a state of peace with his master...
If just by observing, an animal can learn meditation techniques, then how far can they take martial arts, if they were trained by a loving master?
Now that's an interesting proposition! Though a little dangerous!!!
First we tame the animals, domesticate them, teach them to comply with our wishes...and when they are totally subdued, we propose to bring their wild side up again....albeit within desired circle of ferociousness!
Interesting, very interesting....if animal is intelligent enough not to cross its boundaries...which at times is difficult even for a thinking man...
As for pet copying his master...I have story that goes beyond!
My father-in-law love to relate this ever so often...when he was living alone somewhere in the mountains (most weird stories happen in the mountains!), every evening at the time of his prayers a deadly cobra used to make an appearance and would sit quietly till prayers were over...only to slide back to whichever hole it came from. This daily ritual went on for quite a long time...before your friendly cobra decided to call it a day or, whatever!
