induce vs natural?
Is inducing more painful then regular labor? My doctor said there is a possiblity that I will be induced early since I have a single artery umbilical cord if the baby starts to do bad toward the end (although right now he is in the 58 percentile) and I am just wondering if that is "more painful"?
Although I might just end up as a c-section cus with every ultrasound he has been breech so far...
31 weeks w/a boy.
I've worked L&D for over 25 years, and my opinion is:
1] induction is not 'more painful';
2] it is a lot more efficient than natural labor, so
3] you get really uncomfortable a lot quicker
4] you also usually deliver a little quicker
Both my children were induced for medical reasons; and I had them with no anesthesia except a local for the episiotomy [ which didn't work ].
First one I pushed for almost three hours, and he weighed 9 - 1and 1/2!
