What baby bedding is safe and what isn't?
I'm pregnant with my first child and I've been told, no loose fitting sheets, blankets, crib bumpers, pillows, comforters, etc.
So..do you just put the baby on a bare mattress? Wouldn't the baby get cold? So do you dress them in a lot of clothes? Is swaddling ok, or those baby foam sleep position things?

Why do they sell these things if they are unsafe anyway? They are everywhere!
Don't use a sleep positioner....my girl almost suffocated from one and the SIDS alliance doesn't approve them.
You can swaddle and to be on the safe side they sell those swaddle blankets with the velcro so your baby isn't able to kick it over there head or anything ( my daughter did at 2 weeks old so I bought one )
No I don't use bumpers...their not safe.
Just put a tight fitting sheet over the mattress and put your baby in a sleep sac. You can get them ( and that swaddle blanket ) at babies r us or target....they are nice and warm and the baby can't get tangled in them....they also have thinner ones for the summer.
