Challenge Field Boots

i'm having some issues with my new field boots. first i got tall, and thought they were too tall so i went back and got regular. they were the PERFECT height, but when they dropped they would be too short, so i decided to take them back and try on the talls again.
the girls at the store told me to go with the talls so i have those, but they are 1 3/4" - 2'' too tall for me. im now scared they wont drop enough!
can you tell me if they will drop and what i can do to make them drop more (besides wearing them, i will do that) and if there is somthing the shoe maker can do to them or whatever please tell me!
