I am fashioned-impaired and can't dress myself. What kind of shoes go with Boot Cut Jeans?

I live in a western state and have finally transitioned to a modern boot-cut jean. However, due to my lifestyle I also wear cowboy boots most days. I hate tennis shoes. Are cowboy boots appropriate and what else looks good with boot cut jeans besides tennis shoes? I am in my mid thirties and finally got rid of the '80s tapered levi look. Help!

Yes, they are appropriate, depending on the jeans. Almost any type of boot will work w/ boot cut jeans. A lot of people have replied w/ flats but it seems that the bottom of the leg might be too wide for flats (it's hard to say w/ out seeing the jeans though). I wore a pair of 3" heels w/ some this past weekend and they looked great together. It really depends on the jeans. Look in a full length mirror and if you like it- go for it! ; )
