questions on rain sheets?
Well, I am planning on getting a rain sheet for my mare for the wet months after winter. She lives outside and with about 20 other horses. I just want to turn her out with it when the forcast sais rain so that when i go and bring her in to ride, she isn't soaking wet or muddy (we don't have a wash stall either). Do you think it is a good idea? Any suggestions on this? I would just like everybody's opinion.

oh! and what is a good brand for rain sheets? There is a sale at greenhawk, so I was going to look at some there, what do you think? I am on a budet so nothing over 100$cnd.
Yes, a lightweight sheet that's waterproof would be great. [[ Don't get the one that the person above me had in the first link as it's meant to be used at ringside at horse shows and it is NOT for turnout! ]]

Yes, it is over your budget, but it's one of the best waterproof turnouts. Someone I know says, "I'm just going to get a cheap $90 blanket and replace it every year". By doing that you end up spending even more. I know it's hard to spend any more than you have to right now with the economy and all, but it's best to get a higher quality one that will actually last.
If you still can't get this one, look for a waterproof turnout sheet with the highest "denier". This one is 1800 denier while most sheets are around 600 and are only about $35 cheaper.
