How do you get your horse ready for a big AQHYA hunter under Saddle class?
I have a quaterhorse gelding. He's 16hh and chestnut. We have a BIG show this weekend and I just wanted to know if anyone has any good tips they would like to share with me. We do HUS and we also do hunt Seat Equitation Over Fences...any advice on last minute show tips?
Be relaxed! This is very important as I'm sure you know. If your relaxed your horse will be too! And to be more confident practice more before the show. And you always get a boost if your horse looks great and people notice so a day or so before the show bathe him and put a sheet on him after he is dry so his hair lays correctly. Maybe put a little shine spray to give him that extra touch. Don't forget his mane and tail tho, I always love to see natural manes and tails so just be sure to brush them good get any knots out and if your afraid he will get dirty keep a sheet on him and braid his mane and tail. Then when time to go just undop the braids and you will loook great for your blue ribbon!
