Getting into the Saddle.?
This will sound daft...I have really bad problems mounting a horse over 13.2h.h even with a mounting block.
It's like I get my foot in the stirrup and I think, 'No way.' and then fall off or jump down. It doesn't even help if I lower the stirrups AND use a mounting block.
I'm 5'3.5.
How can I get over this? (No pun intended) I can't be riding the kid's ponies all the time:(
I think it's a mental problem:(
Oh, I'm not a beginner, by the way, I've just really lost my confidence.
So where's the problem lie? Head or legs?
Ok so now we have a start point,find/beg/borrow -steal (no just kidding) a big quite and I mean dog quite horse,and if needs be get someone to jockey you up and then also if needs be pony you around.....(I am not being patronising I had to do similiar after my accident of whch we do not speak)And now i am back up on the big ones charging around like nothing ever happend.But just take it slowly ok....There's nothing to prove.
