can any help me with my shetland pony?

i have quite a lot of land here at my house in the country but its all fenced so its really like a giant yard and on my land i have to paddocks one with two pottbellie pigs in and the bigger one has two female mini goats a minature horse and a shetland pony.pottbellie pigs are the nicest pets i got apart from my dogs pottbellies are awesome,goats no problem there great fun mite buck me in the leg sometimes but it dose not hurt that much,my mini horse best natured horse ive ever met but my shetland always attacks me he always kiks hes not very nice to people dont get me rong hes a beatifull pony but he/s really agressive can you help me find out whats the problem with him or tell me how to stop his bad behavior he/s fine with the other animal even the dogs how are really big dogs.

I have had my shetland for about 20 years. They fit the description of BIG personality in a little horse, and this behaviour is not uncommon in Shetlands. My sister who runs a stables from our home said 'if he was any bigger he'd be a problem!'

I think part of this is just something you'll have to live with, and part of it can be changed. There are many reasons why he would be like this. Could be personal space issues, diet related or just plain bad manners! Show him who is boss. You may have to put up with grumpiness, but NEVER put up with biting and kicking - and make it perfectly clear that this is NOT acceptable!

Speak to your vet, and maybe even an animal therapist specialising in horses. Good Luck!

P.S ours can be very grumpy too. Not allowing the farrier to work, trying to kill the vet etc lol
