Nylon Driving Harness

My family is getting a shiba inu pup ion Jan. 6th my mom doesnt want to leave a permanent ring around the dogs neck so when we take the puppy out for walks which collar is better? nylon non lip or non slip choke collar (not the pinch one)? obviously a harness doesn't leave a ring around the neck but at the same time we know that shibas prey drive is really high lol. Any advice anyone?
