I am moving to Suprise or Queen creek, AZ- which is better and how bad is driving into the sun to the west ?

I want to live in a NICE area, away from the garbage.I MUST have a pool to survive the heat I am guessing, Seems like Suprise and Queen Creek are the best for what I want. I want to live with other 30ish year olds, families, single women, etc.
How far are the commutes to Phoenix from both of these cities and which one is best? I read that driving home to the west after work when it's hot is terrible.I just want my home to be a paradise away from all the bad stuff I read about.I dont mind commuting up to 1 hr each way to live in a safe, clean, freindly place.

Surprise is cheaper, less drug problems, easier access to the lakes, or to escape out of town, and better access to freeways to get to downtown Phx. Queen Creek is hell to try to get out of in the morning, during commute hours.
