paypal ripping me off what to do?
this is no joke I sold a item on ebay it was paid with paypal I shipped my item and have proof now this person says he never got it and files with paypal I proved everything including that the person was buying and selling the same items on his ebay account and proof of shipping and they paid him back with MY money with out telling me no this kid just double his profits and paypal makes it legal!! I have emailed and called till I was blue on the face and when I ask them how is this even possible they say we understand and I would be mad to and give me someone else to talk to what gives them the right to be the judge and jury with payback amounts for $500.00 with no proof that I did anything wrong I have no clue what to do it makes no sense to me I hold a royal flush and they two pair and win???
please help i have a wife and kid to feed thats why i was selling things in the first place. thank you
Paypal aren't ripping you off - the buyer is.
Hes lying to paypal and unless you can provide a better case, they will always be in his favor because he is the buyer and gets a lot of payment protection.
Paypal makes it easier for BUYERS not sellers. Its unfortunate and slightly deceptive of Paypal when they try and sell you their service.
The moral of the story is - never use paypal as a payment option for high value items. You stand too much chance of being ripped off, because the fact is the buyer can just say 'I didn't get it' and theres nowt you can do about it. All postal certification can do is prove that someone signed for the item. The buyer just has to say 'thats not my signature' and paypal will believe him.
Game over I'm afraid, unless of course you choose to use his address and pop around with a baseball bat.
