Yes we have to get a van we dont have room for 3 kids in our car

big addition: baby bath tub. the bath seats svck for newborns b/c they can't sit up yet. and those sponge things to lay them on are horrible.

also, a diaper bag. doesn't need to be fancy. just something to carry around the necessities.

don't really need: lotion (not recommended b/c it usually contains alcohol w/ch dries out baby's skin worse); diaper pail (we throw ours in the garbage which goes out daily, else you are storing up poops in a diaper pail for a week until it's full -- YUCK!); powder (bad for baby to inhale)

also might want to have oragel on hand in case the baby starts teething earlier than you expect.

also, if possible get those blanket sleepers, they're like a sack dress, or feetie clothes that ZIP b/c you will go crazy trying to do all those stupid snaps! and you change a NB baby like 50 times a day so who wants to snap all those snaps that many times?

also get a FEW blankets b/c babies can spit up often for no reason at all.

i'd skip the high chair. we use a portable booster seat. it comes entirely apart and the pieces are dishwasher safe.

when your baby gets big enough to eat at the table or in a high chair, get one of those mats they put under office chairs on carpet so they roll better. that way you can take it outside and hose it off instead of having to mop or sweep your floor every time you feed the baby!
