Western show saddles in PtHA World?
What type of saddle do they ride in in PtHA World? I'm just getting started showing Pinto and I am thinking of buying a Carolina Rowel Classic Show Saddle out of the Schneiders magazine or a Texas Ranger Classic out of the Sergeant's magazine. I ride in YA Novice and my friend who also rides my horse, rides in YA Jr. I own a 15 hh. bay minimal white Paint Horse.
My horse has more of the flatter withers. He is a World Champion in Western Pleasure so I wouldn't call him a bulldog type or a thoroughbred type.
The one thing about "Pinto" is that there are a LOT of different body types out there where as "Paint" you have two types. With Paint, you have TB body types (Including Running QH types) and the old foundation or bull dog QH types.
The more TB type horses use semi Quarter Horse trees. The more flatter withered, wear full Quarter Horse trees.
