How to make cheap horse jumps?
I would like to know how to make some inexpensive horse jumps. I'm not just talking some standards and poles. I need more creative ones that I would see at horse shows, so I can be prepared. Any ideas to make my jumps like the ones at shows? Any crazy thing I should put on them? I sometimes put Saddle pads on the jumps, but it there anything else?

well if you have already have plain standards and poles you could paint them with a picture of rainbows or fluorescent colours so your horse can learn to feel comfortable around all environments. paint the poles in stripes or polka dots again in bright bod colours! depending on how high you can jump you could place those bright orange witches hats underneath them (they don't have them at shows but it gets your horse used to bold environments!?) where I compete they don't actually have any out of the ordinary jumps ? just green and white stripes and blue and whites stripes etc. but i know where your coming from! you could get sheets of gybrock from places like bunnings warehouse or pieces of scrao wood and do some artwork on them! like as i mentioned before, rainbows or you could do an optical illusion (if you have that much time on your hands). you could go around to council clean ups and see if you can pick up some wooden fence or something and paint it white. again you could get leftover wood pieces and paint red and white in the shapes of rectangle bricks. I'm not sure what you use in your feeds but sometimes people use big 10L - 30L vinegar bottles (but most commonly you can use the big water bottles/bucket things -

and paint them red and white in the shape of small rectangular bricks. They are very handy as when you get quite a collection of them you can stack them up to 1m jumps 110 cm jumps or even just 60 cm! they are very versatile!
