high school class ring? ?

we just got the order forms for are class rings. they are Herf jones. I have several questions

1. what medal (10k gold/white gold, sterling silver, or sliver alloy with platium in it)
2. what stone (blue saphire, or red ruby for my school color)?
3. should I put the mascot on one side or another spirt thing (Robert, E lee)
4. should I go for a smaller ring of a little fatter, not huge though?
5. should I put something under the stone (my year (2010), or a swimmer, or are mascot)
6 how expense do they run?
