Should I get a Western saddle for trail riding or will a English saddle work just as well?
I ride English but I was wondering if I should purchase a western saddle for when I go trail riding? Also should I get two different saddles a very nice expensive English saddle for when I'm showing and I not so expensive saddle when I am just riding my horse in the arena for lessons or just for out exercises! Just so you know I do Show Jumping!
Sell your english saddle and get a western saddle. Western saddles are so much more comfortable for trail riding. Much more useful as well. For me, there is nothing better than riding in a western saddle on a good horse smoking a pipe with some good pipe tobacco.
