How do I decorate around a wall-mounted TV in my bedroom?

Hub wanted our LCD TV mounted on the wall in front of the bed. Fine. Now i'm staring at a big black box on the wall and have no idea what to do around it. To make matters worse, when you walk into the room, it's immediately on the wall on the right - and all the A/V cable inputs are visible. We have the cables hidden in a cable management channel going from the TV down to the outlet & cable box so those aren't a problem. Directly underneath the TV is a long dresser if that's any help. I've thought of thick picture frames, but that seems too busy. Thought of a drapery panel on each side of the TV, but wasn't sure if that would look okay or not. Any thoughts?
The cable management channel is the same color as the wall, so it's virtually invisible. If I use fabric panels, should there just be one on either side of the TV, or should there also be a "valance" sort of thing going across the top of the tv basically making the TV a "window"? Keep the ideas coming!!

Fabric does a lot to hide all evils. I use it sometimes with decorative rods, sometimes with odd pieces of wrought iron, sometimes with wooden decorative picture frames with the fabric threaded decoratively through it, and sometimes swagged above draping to the side to hide a multitude of all evils I don't want anyone to see. I even hate cord management systems and will often route out pieces of molding to accommodate the cord hosts and attach the molding to the wall with mounting tape or even velcro. You can also make the tv itself inside an open frame of decorative mitered cornered edges with fabric framed around that depending on how elaborate you want to go. Think outside of the box to find a means by which you can conceal what you do not want the eye to see by choosing something to distract it.
