I have a 14 h Arab- i am having trouble finding a Western Saddle Pad short enough for his back. help! ?
I have a size 15 western barrel saddle and he has high withers. help!I cant find anything that works!
I know all too well how short backed most arabs are. I rode one (still do sometimes) western as well. Most often we put a 14 inch barrel saddle on him. Although he has more of a quarter horse (wide as all get out) build than a dainty arab build, it seemed to work well. If your saddle is round skirted, see if you can find a round pad. I had a high withered mare, there's not too much you can do for that. I was always told to try a cutback pad.
