boot problem on new built.PXE-E61: Media Test failure, check cable PXE-M0F: Exiting NVIDIA Boot Agent?
I have a boot problem on newly built.
780I MO-BO
western Digital HD 500GB SATA (no OS installed yet)
my 2 DVD drives are about 3-4 years old and they use IDE cable( i am using HDD cable that came with motherboard). problem is
PXE-E61: Media Test failure, check cable
Exiting NVIDIA Boot Agent.
when i took off cables from Roms and trying to run with hard drive alone, it said Disk Boot Failure, Insert system Disk ( i think this is because no OS installed in the disk. is that right? please correct me).
also i have Vista burned on DVD and i put it in the DVD drive. some people say burned disc won't work. Anyway BIOS detected my Hard drive and one of the DVD rom.
i gonna go to best buy and buy a new dvd drive tonight. still not sure it will work. any answers will be appreciated.
Thanks everyone for answers. i got it right. the problem is one of the DVD ROM F**Ked up. but the other one ok so i am just using that one 
To start I would only hook up the HD & 1 DVD rom, just to get the system up and going. I see when you where first in the system BIOS you set the boot sequence to boot from the DVD first, so it could load the OS that is correct. That is why it was asking for the system disk. Did you set the HD jumper to master & the DVD drives jumpers to cable select? Make sure to do this!!!
