Wood Brush Horse

I found a old tin bucket back in the woods full of old horse shoes. They are rusty, but not too bad. I would like to restore them, and I took a wire brush, and sometimes a grinder to them but it takes too long... If you have any suggestions or methods, like a rust removal solution -- homemade, or store bought.. please tell me.
