How do we know OTC dog dewormer worked?
We recently found a stray lab-mix puppy and realized she was very bloated due to worms (round worms). Being a Friday night and not having access to a vet, we gave her some over the counter wormer. After reading about the inefficiency of OTC wormers I am now worried that we put her at risk, even though her stomach is no longer bloated and she appears to be fine. She went poo after the treatment and there were several large non-moving worms as well as smaller worms which appeared to be alive and moving. Since that one time her poo now appears to be back to normal. Does it sound like we took care of it - or do I fork out the money and take her to a vet anyway?
